Elle was born and raised in Yorkshire, England, where she still resides. After many years of putting aside her creative ideas, in 2012, she was inspired to write again. The surprising result was her debut, contemporary, romantic suspense series, Fractured. A self-confessed daydreamer, she loves to create strong, sexy and diverse characters, cocooned in opulent yet realistic settings that draw the reader in with every twist and turn until the very last page. A voracious reader for as long as she can remember, she is never without her beloved Kindle. When she is not absorbed in the newest release or a trusted classic, she can often be found huddled over her laptop, tapping away new ideas and plots for forthcoming works. She is currently working on the fifth book in the series.

Harrisburg Railers Series by RJ Scott and V.L Locey

M/M Ice Hockey Romance Series So, as previously stated in the initial opening post (dated 15.05.19), I will always advise what genre the books I am reading  fall into. I’m thinking the best way to do this is to stick it in the title, that way you can choose to read on or not. Firstly, from my experience as an author who doesn’t write LGBT, M/M, F/F novels etc, it seems that if you write a romance under these genres, your work is either automatically refused from sale at certain retailers, or on others, they automatically get placed in a weird, unnecessary, irrelevant, LGBT erotica category as opposed to romance,…

    My book club!

As we all know, writers tend to be readers, whether occasional or voracious. I normally peg myself in the voracious category – having thousands of books in my Kindle library. I have therefore decided to create this new blog so you can all see what I’m currently reading – or have read, in some cases. These will be predominantly books that I’ve enjoyed and want share. They will not necessarily be posted in the order I have read them – just as and when I update. Be warned – my tastes are broad and eclectic. I read everything from horror to thriller to romance. Some of it gothic, some of…

Something old, something new, and something exciting…hopefully

I’m going to kill a few birds with one stone here, so please bear with me.  Over the last few years, I have received various emails from readers enquiring whether the rest of my books will ever be offered for free, and why my series is not available through the Kindle Unlimited programme. I have never addressed or responded to these issues, but I will now. So firstly, regarding the pricing of my novels. Contrary to what many people believe, pricing your book low or sending it out into the wild for free (whether permanently or occasionally) does not devalue it. This is definitely a topic of contention, and there…

    Important Announcement

For the last four years, my novels have been available to purchase through various different online retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books and Google Play, to name a few. Over the past year, I have deliberated, agonised and basically driven myself to distraction over whether or not to withdraw my books from some, or all, of these stores. The reason my decision has taken so long is ultimately due to the respect I have for my readers and the loyalty they have shown me. However, I must do what is in the best interests of my author brand. Therefore, as of 19 April 2019, I will be…

    Season’s greetings to all!

After an exciting 2018 and the unwavering support I received following the release of my most recent novel, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers the greetings of the season, and a safe and happy New Year. I hope 2019 will prove to be prosperous for all, and will be filled with love and joy. Best wishes, Elle X

    Aftermath… reduced price!

For those of you who have not yet purchased your copy of Aftermath – book 2.5 in the series – it is currently on sale for 99c/99p! It is available worldwide through the majority of major ebook vendors.  Aftermath is technically a prequel, but should only be read after Tormented (book 2) to avoid any spoilers. It also doesn’t continue the present day story after book 2, instead it jumps back into the past and chronicles the missing eight years of Kara and Sloan’s lives.  I very rarely reduce the price of my novels, so grab your copy while you can.  Elle X

New Versions of The Fractured Series

It has recently been brought to my attention (w/c 23 July 2018) that the first three novels of the series, plus the novella, contain spelling and grammatical errors. When I first published these, I was unintentionally complacent, as I think a lot of first time, self-published authors are. That, and the eye really does auto-correct, regardless of how many times you write, re-write, edit and polish your manuscript. Even a second pair of fresh eyes will miss some of these mistakes. However, when these initial mistakes were originally brought to my attention a couple of years ago, I had the novels re-edited and re-submitted to all vendors. In the last week or so, it has become apparent…
